Get a Free Windows 10 Upgrade, Prepare for Surface Phone and Windows 10 Creators Update

free Windows 10 upgrade ahead of Surface Phone and Windows 10 Creators Update launch

Over the past weeks we’ve seen how Windows 10 adoption hasn’t been all that great during 2016. But this year is going to be very different for Microsoft’s latest operating system.

With the Windows 10 Creators Update mere months away, you had better get on the Windows 10 Anniversary Update now before Microsoft stops offering the free Windows 10 upgrade.

What??? Yes, Microsoft is still offering users of older licensed versions (Win 7 and Win 8.1) the chance to upgrade to Windows 10 for free.

To keep the offer “hidden” from the public, Microsoft has disguised it as an open offer for those who use assistive technologies.

But, did you know, Microsoft defines “assistive technologies” in such a broad manner that even those who use keyboard shortcuts are eligible?!

With leaked photos of a Microsoft Surface Phone making their rounds, the sooner you get on Windows 10, the better.

Once you’re on this upgrade, you’ll get all future updates automatically, just like everyone else. Yes, even the Windows 10 Creators Update that brings 3D and holographic experiences – and much, much, more – to your desktop…and your Surface Phone, when it finally hits the shelves this year.

In case you don’t have an older licensed version, don’t worry. All you need to do is head over to Microsoft’s website and download an ISO file (disc image) that will allow you to do a “clean install” of Windows 10 whether you have a product key or not.

Using one of these two methods, you should be able to get on Windows 10 in just a few minutes.

Note: In case you don’t have a product key for the clean install, you can skip that step during the installation. You may receive notifications to authenticate your copy of Windows 10 later, and you may do so if you wish, by purchasing a product key. However, almost all Windows 10 features should be accessible even if you don’t authenticate your copy.
