Sold-out Jet Black iPhone 7 and 7 Plus is Back in Stores Today

Jet Black iPhone 7 and Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus now available in stores October 15

Earlier today, word got out that the jet black iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is back in several Apple Stores around the United States and Canada today.

After being sold out soon after the iPhone 7 launch on September 7 and subsequent store sales on September 13, the much-coveted jet black color is once again on the shelves. There’s a website you can go to if you want to check availability of the new color in an Apple Store near you – and another where you can reserve a piece before you actually go there.

How to Check if the Jet Black iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is Available

iStockNow is a real-time web application that tells you which models are available at which stores across the country. You can filter by model, color and even operator and find out if the iPhone you want is in stock.

A quick spot check by our intrepid researcher showed that the jet black was, indeed, available in most states, and you can even put in your zip code to check stores closest to where you live.

How to Reserve a Jet Black iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus before Heading to the Apple Store

On Apple’s own site, they offer a reservation option, but it comes with a warning:

“Due to high demand, it’s possible this product will become unavailable before you confirm your reservation.”

Although the jet black version of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is more susceptible to scuff marks, scratches and other signs of physical damage, it was one of the first colors to fly off the shelves when the iPhone 7 was launched more than a month ago. Other colors include Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and All Black, and most of the models seem to be available around the country.
