Private Browsing Made Easy with Firefox Focus, a New iOS Browser App from Mozilla

Firefox Focus iOS app for private browsing on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch 6th generation

The Mozilla Foundation via The Mozilla Corporation has just released a new mobile browser called Firefox Focus, which makes private browsing on iOS devices a breeze. The iOS app is for anyone that wants to prevent websites from tracking their usage, so if online privacy is what you’re after, then this might be the ideal mobile browser for your iPhone or iPad.

Firefox Focus is essentially a light-weight (11.4 MB), no-frills mobile browser that jams a lot of functionality into a small package. It can block trackers that serve unwanted ads, and allows you to easily erase your browsing history, passwords and cookies. Some tracker-filled sites actually work much better with this browser, and even if you come across a site that requires tracking in order to function properly, Focus is able to work around this and open such sites on Firefox or even Safari.

To confuse things, Firefox also has an ad blocker for Safari called Focus by Firefox, but Firefox Focus is a completely different application and a browser in itself.

The company has also confirmed that they may start working on an Android version of the app depending on how well the iOS version is received by Apple device owners.

You can use the link below to get Firefox Focus 2.0 for your iOS device. The app requires iOS 9 or later, and works with any older device running on those versions or higher, including iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch 6th generation.
