Try Windows 10 Creators Update, Get on the Windows Insider Program

Windows 10 Creators Update preview build on Microsoft Insider Program

For those who can’t wait to get the Windows 10 Creators Update that’s been announced for 2017, the Windows Insider Program is a great way to preview their new 3D apps such as Paint 3D.

Windows 10 Creators Update is all about media production, and 3D looks like it’s going to be a big part of the Windows 10 environment. All of their recently launched devices like Surface Studio, Surface Dial, and even the older Surface Pro 4 tablet are all designed for easy multiple input types – type, touch and pen.

But to access their new apps, you have to get on the Insider Program. It’s simple, quick and it gives you the chance to try out some great apps that will feature in full when the Windows 10 Creators Update comes out next year.

How to Join the Windows Insider Program

The process is simple. You need to already be on the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, and you need a Microsoft account to preview the 3D apps. If you’re not yet on Windows 10 and you want to get in now, you can still upgrade to Windows 10 for free. We’ve shown you how to do that in this article featured below:

Learn How to Get a Free Windows 10 Upgrade

Once you’re on the anniversary update, you simply sign up to the Insider Program here – sign-up page – and fill in your details. Once approved, you should be able to see “Insider Preview” as a menu item in your Settings page.

Preparing your PC for Windows 10 Creators Update

Once you get access, you’ll need to choose the Insider level. The Fast Ring is for developers who know what to do when they encounter bugs and so on, so only choose that if you’re confident about handling bugs. The default is Release Preview for all Insiders, but if you want to try out Paint 3D, you’ll need to choose the Slow Ring or Fast Ring. If you’re not a developer, you should pick the Slow Ring.

After that, your PC will conduct a compatibility check to see if your PC has the minimum requirements for the latest preview build. If it does, the update should come through within 24 hours, after which you can download apps like Paint 3D from the Store. To get access to the Remix 3D community and share your work or get tons of 3D models, you will need to sign up here.
