Windows Developer Day to be Livestreamed, Windows 10 Creators Update to Feature

Windows Developer Day February 8, 2016 - Windows 10 Creators Update

On February 8, 2017, Microsoft is hosting Windows Developer Day, an event for the development community to learn more about the features of the upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update.

The event will be focused on educating developers on new tooling and APIs that will be introduced in Windows 10 Creators Update, such as BASH, UWP tooling, Developer Mode and so on.

Microsoft will also be revealing the developer’s side of new Cortana skills, as well as the tech behind their new Windows mixed reality headsets.

The event will be livestreamed in partnership with Channel 9, and Microsoft is also putting together some “local viewing parties” so developers in various locations around the world can gather together on the day to share tips and network with other developers in the Windows community.

According to the Windows blog post, Kevin Gallo, Microsoft’s VP Windows Developer Platform, and a few of his colleagues, will be hosting the event, discussing various aspects of UWP app development specifically for the Windows 10 Creators Update.

If you’re a Windows developer and would like to keep tabs on happenings leading up to the event, Microsoft invites you to fill out an RSVP, after which updates will be shared via email.
