Surface Pro 5 Arrival Prompts Surface Pro 4 Discounts from Microsoft and Others

Surface Pro 4 being discounted in anticipation of Surface Pro 5 arrival

Presumably in anticipation of the arrival of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, retailers have started discounting Core i5 and Core i7 variants of Surface Pro 4.

Best Buy is currently offering the Microsoft – Surface Pro 4 – 12.3″ – 128GB – Intel Core i5 – Silver 2-in-1 hybrid tablet PC at a discount of $200, bringing the list price to $799.99. The Microsoft – Surface Pro 4 – 12.3″ – 256GB – Intel Core i7 – Silver now retails for $1,299.99, discounted from a list price of $1,499.99.

The Best Buy offer comes with Webroot Secure Anywhere internet security application that can be used on up to three Android, iOS, Mac or Windows devices. Additional savings offers are available for Microsoft Office products and printers.

Microsoft is offering a matching deal on the Surface Pro i5 variant, at $799, and comes with a $25 gift code that can be used against apps and games.

While that offer is for the United States, Australian buyers are getting 15% off the list price of AU$1,499.00 (works out to AU$1,274.15 incl. GST), and on top of that they’ll also get a free Samsung 250GB external SSD worth $199.

Amazon seller Hashgocha Pratis is currently offering what looks like the best deal on the base model Microsoft Surface Pro 4, at a shade lower than what Best Buy and Microsoft are offering on their sites.

These are all great deals if you want the full Windows 10 laptop experience on a tablet, but aren’t ready to pay too much of a premium. That said, we’re all waiting expectantly for the Surface Pro 5 to come out, which could be any time in the next couple of months. Stay tuned, or check out these offers today.
