Amazon Prime is one of the strongest drivers of retail growth for the online retail giant, if not the strongest. For the price of a latte every month, you can enjoy no less than two dozen benefits, one among which is Amazon Prime Video, Amazon’s on-demand video streaming service that now has an impressive and growing list of original movies and TV series. Coming in April 2017 are several new shows, some of which we’ve highlighted below.
American Playboy – Starts Today April 7, 2017
The story of Hugh Hefner, in collaboration with the man himself, is coming to Amazon Prime members today. American Playboy is an original Amazon series that takes you through more than six decades of Hugh Hefner’s life, starting from the launch of Playboy magazine in 1953. The new show features never-seen footage from Playboy archives, as well as Hefner’s personal archives and library of scrapbooks.
And For the Kids – Tumble Leaf Spring Special: Spring-a-ling Surprise – Already Live as on April 4, 2017
Something for the adults follows the streaming of something for the kids, naturally. Tumble Leaf Spring Special: Spring-a-ling Surprise started streaming on April 4, and brings back the lovable Tumble Leaf band. This time, it’s an Easter Special, featuring Bloom the Bunny as the gang helps him find his lost Easter eggs.
Bosch: Season 3 – Streaming from April 21
Later in the month, Bosch, the character played by Titus Welliver, will be back with its third season. Hang onto your armrests as Bosch faces yet another ordeal – this time standing trial in a federal court for the murder of a serial killer. The Amazon original series is based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling book series, where the lead character attempts to solve the murder of a 13-year-old boy.
