No iOS 10.3 Jailbreak Required: Sideload iCleaner Pro on your iOS 10.3 Device

iOS 10.3 jailbreak not required to sideload iCleaner Pro

One of the biggest issues that iPhone and iPad users face is lack of memory space on their device. With iOS 10.3, Apple has introduced the Apple File System, or APFS, which optimizes your device’s memory. But if you’ve upgraded to the latest iOS 10 version and still need a better way to manage your device memory, then iCleaner Pro is the right app for you.

But first, What is iCleaner Pro?

The iCleaner Pro tweak for Cydia was originally for jailbroken devices, but since there’s really no option to do an iOS 10.3 jailbreak, the only option is to sideload the app using Cydia Impactor. To be honest, it looks like jailbreaking options for non-developers might fade out over the next few versions of iOS, and be replaced by apps that can bypass Apple’s strict app policies via sideloading.

To sideload iCleaner Pro on a non-jailbroken iOS 10.3 device (aren’t they all?), follow the steps below.

How to Sideload iCleaner Pro on a non-jailbroken iOS 10 device

First, you need to get all your files and apps ready.

  • You will need the iCleaner Pro IPA file, which you can get here.
  • If you don’t already have it, you may also need to install the latest version of Cydia Impactor on your PC or Mac, which you can download from here.
  • In addition, you’ll need to be on the latest version of iTunes, which you can do from within the app on your desktop.

Once you’ve got these basics ready, you will need to follow the steps below EXACTLY as laid out.

Sideload iCleaner Pro on iOS 10 iPhone and iPad: No jailbreak required

Before you start, remember to do the following steps one at a time. Don’t rush, and if there are any issues, DO NOT PROCEED. It’s your device and your decision to sideload this software, so please keep that in mind. If there’s any doubt at all, don’t do it.

Let’s Begin.

The first thing to do is connect your iOS 10 device to your computer using a USB cable.

Second, find the Cydia Impactor file that you downloaded earlier and run it.

Third, after connecting your device and running Cydia Impactor, look for a dropdown menu that contains the name of your device. Select it.

Fourth, remember that IPA file for iCleaner Pro that you downloaded earlier? Drag that and drop it into the Cydia Impactor interface.

The Fifth one is an important step. You will need an Apple ID to proceed. At this point you have two choices. The free ID can be obtained from id.apple.com, where you need to look for an App-Specific Password. If you already have a paid ID you can use that to avoid resigning the app’s certificate every seven days.

Sixth, after you enter the paid or free ID, Cydia will start sideloading iCleaner Pro to your iOS 10 iPhone or iPad. Leave it for a few minutes, until the process is complete.

Seventh, DO NOT LAUNCH iCleaner Pro from the Home Screen even though you’ll see it there. Instead, go to Settings –> General –> Profiles. and look for the iCleaner Pro profile.

Eighth, tap on the profile and then Trust the Certificate.

Ninth, you are now ready to start using iCleaner Pro on your iOS 10.x device with no jailbreak required.

When you tap on the iCleaner Pro icon on your home screen, this is what you should see:

You’ll need to check the box next to “Allow temporary files cleanup” to optimize memory on your device. That done, tap the “Start cleaning” button to start off the cleanup process, which may take upto 5 minutes or more depending on the amount of junk your iPhone or iPad has.

Keep in mind that the cleanup process with iCleaner Pro can drain significant battery power – up to 5 percent – so try to have your device charging when you use the app. Also, if you opt for Fast Mode, you may see a “memory full” alert while the cleanup is in progress. Don’t worry about that because it’s normal. Just tap on ‘Continue’ and keep going until you see the “Wiping Completed” message appear.

Finally, you can verify the amount of space that’s been cleared for use by going to the Storage section in the Settings app. You may be surprised at how many temporary files and other useless data your iPhone or iPad has been carrying around. Even if you don’t delete any old and unused apps, you’ll see a significant increase in the amount of space now made available after the cleanup.

This is the simplest method to get tweaked apps into your iPhone or iPad. With no iOS 10.3 jailbreak in sight, this might be the only way to get the apps you want that aren’t available through the App Store. Even if someone eventually does develop a public version of an iOS 10.3 jailbreak – or even one for the current iOS 10.3.1 – you can still use the method described above to get some fantastic apps sideloaded to your iPhone or iPad.
