A Nintendo Switch Battery Pack that Also Charges iPad Pro Faster than the Original Charger

Even though the Nintendo Switch was designed to be played on the go as well as connected to your television set, owners generally agree that the battery life isn’t exactly fantastic. In a recent article, we showcased SwitchCharge, the world’s first Nintendo Switch battery case currently running as a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.

Today, we’re going to show you the Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD – a monster of a battery pack that you can carry along with your Nintendo Switch to keep it juiced up for up to 18 extra hours of play time.

The 26800 PD (not the older Anker 26800) delivers 30 watts of power for the quickest charging of your Nintendo Switch possible. In fact, it can even be used on iPad Pro and the new LG V20, charging them at a faster rate than their own original chargers. Anker says that the battery pack can charge more phones over 7 times, larger tablets at least twice, and even bigger notebooks once for a full top up.

There’s a single USB-C port for fast charging, and also two USB Type-A ports that have a power output of 5 volts at 3 amps. A wall charger is included for charging this robust battery pack for Nintendo Switch via the USB-C port, and Anker says that you can charge it to full in 4.8 hours, which is 3X faster than most other battery packs. You also get a mesh carrying case, a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB Type-A to micro USB cable. Also included are a Welcome Guide and an 18-month manufacturer’s warranty.

You can charge your Nintendo Switch, iPad Pro, LG V20 or any other device that supports USB-C, or you can pick up an additional adaptor to make it compatible.

Of course, with that much power at its disposal, it’s got to be a little heavier than most battery packs. It is, at 1.3 pounds, which makes it heavier than the 0.9-pound Nintendo Switch.

The Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD is currently available on Amazon at a discounted price, but make sure that it has the “PD” suffix, since there are older models without it that don’t charge as fast.

If you travel a lot and Nintendo Switch is your travel buddy, or you need something solid that can charge multiple devices, then the Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD is your buddy’s buddy!
