Xbox One S Price Cut – $50 Discount – ahead of Project Scorpio’s Launch Today

Xbox One S $50 discount to $199

As of today, June 11, 2017, Microsoft is cutting the price of its Xbox One S console by $50, presumably ahead of the unveiling of Xbox Project Scorpio at E3 2017. Microsoft has not confirmed that this is a permanent price drop, so it could be one of the many Xbox One S offers it has run in the past.

Alongside the price cut comes the reveal of Xbox One Project Scorpio. Microsoft has been hyping this console to no end, even engaging a top gaming site to do the initial feature showcasing.

The Xbox One S price drop is in line with what happened last year, when Xbox One was first slashed down to $299 until the Xbox One S was launched, and then further pushed it down to $279 after launching Xbox One S at E3.

We’re hoping to see Xbox Project Scorpio in all its glory later today, 5pm ET/2pm PT, when Microsoft is expected to unveil the gaming console to the public. Fans are hoping to see a price point of either $399 or $459 for the new gaming console.

If you’re a price-conscious shopper who doesn’t mind not having the latest gadgetry as soon as it comes out, you can actually save a ton of money and still enjoy cutting edge tech that’s near the end of its product lifecycle. This is the time when manufacturers and retailers go all out to discount their products. With every new release comes a price cut on the previous model, and that’s possibly the best time to buy.

What it comes down to is basically what your priority is: if it’s the price, then an Xbox One S from Microsoft Store at $249 is a much better deal; on the other hand, if boasting the latest hardware is your thing, then Project Scorpio should help satisfy that craving when it’s finally available later this year.
