Despite iOS 10 being live for 9 months, you’d be hard-pressed to find a stable iOS 10.x jailbreak tool. There are a few out there, primarily those that are being built by Italian master hacker Luca Todesco and a few others like Marco Grassi and Ian Beer, but they’re all still in various stages of beta – not something an amateur jailbreak enthusiast will want to mess around with.
Fortunately, if all you’re looking for are tweaked apps from third-party app stores like Cydia, there’s a way to get them on your iOS 10.x iPhone or iPad without the need to jailbreak the device. Today, we’re showcasing YouTube++, a tweaked version of the popular video streaming app that is used by no less than 1,300,000,000 (1.3 billion) people around the world.
What is YouTube++?
Imagine YouTube on steroids, a version that lets you download videos, play videos and audio in the background, blocks ads for you, lets you set default play quality, comes with custom controls for forward/rewind and lots more. That’s YouTube++, but you can’t experience it until you see it for yourself.
That’s what we’re here to help you with.

Next, you will need the Cydia Impactor, so download the right version for your system. You can view the download options here.

Now that the basic preparation is done, you can start the sideloading process.
How to Sideload YouTube++ to your iOS 10.x.x iPhone
Before you start, remember to do the following steps one at a time. Don’t rush, and if there are any issues, DO NOT PROCEED. It’s your device and your decision to sideload this software, so please keep that in mind. If there’s any doubt at all, don’t do it.
The first thing to do is connect your iOS 10.x.x iPhone or iPad to your computer using a USB cable.
Second, find the Cydia Impactor file that you downloaded earlier and run it.
Third, after connecting your device and running Cydia Impactor, look for a dropdown menu that contains the name of your device. Select it.
Fourth, remember that IPA file for YouTube++ that you downloaded just now? Drag that and drop it into the Cydia Impactor interface.
The Fifth one is an important step. You will need an Apple ID to proceed. At this point you have two choices. The free ID can be obtained from id.apple.com, where you need to look for an App-Specific Password. If you already have a paid ID you can use that to avoid resigning the app’s certificate every seven days.
Sixth, after you enter the paid or free ID, Cydia will start sideloading YouTube++ to your iOS 10.x.x iPhone. Leave it for a few minutes, until the process is complete.
Seventh, DO NOT LAUNCH the YouTube++ app from the Home Screen even though you’ll see it there. Instead, go to Settings –> General –> Profiles. and look for the app profile.
Eighth, tap on the profile and then Trust the Certificate.
Ninth, enjoy the new YouTube++ experience whenever you want it. Have fun playing around with it and doing things you can’t do with the regular “boring” version of YouTube.
Tenth, tell us about your experience, or give our readers some expert advice in the comments section. Thousands of people could benefit from it.
