As you can see, the discounted MacBook Air comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal SSD storage. Apple does offer config upgrades, but you’ll have to shell out proportionately more for those options, which include upgrading the memory to 256GB or 512GB, and upgrading the Intel Core i5 processor to a Core i7.
The 13-inch MacBook Air is a lightweight device perfect for students. It’s a minor upgrade for 2017, so Apple isn’t calling it a “new” Air model. In fact, not much has changes since the product was launched about seven years ago. Major upgrades include the use of Kaby Lake and Sky Lake processors. Clock speed gets a bump to 1.8GHz against the older 1.6GHz.
This is not a pro device. For that, there’s the MacBook Pro. But at a steal deal price of $849 and a free pair of headphones worth $300, you’re not going to find anything like this for sure.
