T-Mobile has officially announced its first smartphone, called Revvl, a budget phone that sports a fingerprint sensor. The Revvl will feature basic specifications. The device will come with the aforementioned fingerprint sensor, the display measures 5.5-inch with HD resolution, and the internals have 2GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage expandable to 128GB. It will sport a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone runs Android Nougat. Data will be processed by a quad-core 1.5 GHz MediaTek/MT6738 chipset. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Tethering APN and Micro USB.

T-Mobile claims to have released this phone for those who want to have a smartphone with premium features, but at the same time something that doesn’t hurt their pockets. Revvl would be an ideal choice for those who are looking for a smartphone with neat features, yet at a budget price. The company plans on making it even smarter with Smartpicks and the Jump! On Demand program.

Revvl from T-Mobile will be priced at $125, and the company has also made it more affordable through the company’s Jump on Demand service for $5 a month with zero down.

The phone doesn’t have any other standout features, but the pricing and purchase options makes it ideal for anyone with a limited budget to get a decent phone with decent specs. Think of it as a mid-range phone with one or two premium features but selling at a budget price.

Smartpicks is essentially a list of budget devices handpicked by the company, and these are eligible for Jump! On Demand. The devices on Smartpicks ideally range between $5 to $8 per month, and all with $0 down.

Some of the offers on Jump! On Demand include: Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime at $7 per month, LG K20 Plus at $8 per month, LG Aristo at $7 per month and ZTE ZMAX Pro at $8 per month.

To take advantage of this program, the user has to get into an eighteen-month agreement, which is like leasing your phone with zero down. Also, the user can upgrade the device every thirty days during this eighteen-month lease period. Else, on completion of eighteen months, the user can return it or snag a new one.

Those interested can order the T-Mobile Revvl through T-Mobile’s online store or at participating retail locations.
