We have been discussing various specifications and new technologies to be packed into Apple’s flagship device, iPhone 8, which is to be unveiled this year to mark Apple’s 10th anniversary in the smartphone market. A new rumor has surfaced that iPhone will come in a brand new color option.

The leak suggests that iPhone 8 will come in three variants, of which one is expected to be a new entry to the list – a copper-like tone – while the other two are expected to be Black and the unsurprising Silver. To recall, iPhone 7 came in quite a few color variants – Black, Jet Black, Gold, Rose Gold, Red, and Silver. Leakers and Apple experts say that iPhone 8 may not be in white, since they are considered not as attractive as darker hues.

Twitter leaker Benjamin Geskin and a source on Chinese social networking site Weibo both claim the new shade for the iPhone 8 will be called ‘Blush Gold’.

The new variant has been reported by multiple sources, and recent reports throw more light on it. The speculation is that the new color will be of a coppery shade, but most sources think that Apple will have a different marketing name for it. “Blush Gold” is as good a guess as any, but it could be something else as well.

The device itself is said to be all-screen on the front by doing away with the home button, and it will have a glass back and support face recognition technology. The flagship device will be the first iPhone to be integrated with wireless charging, also with a curved AMOLED display and a rear-facing dual camera that’s vertically aligned.

iPhone 8 is expected to be unveiled in the month of September, along with iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. Until now, we have pretty much covered most of the expected specifications and the technology advancements that iPhone 8 will boast.

With this latest report on a new possible color option, we have a fair idea of what we can expect when it is unveiled. Of course, we have to keep in mind that all the information floating around is just hearsay, and only the launch can confirm the facts.
