Police say MS-13 murder victim was stabbed 100 times, had head cut off and heart ripped out

A Wednesday report from Maryland police says that a yet-unidentified victim who was allegedly murdered by 19-year-old MS-13 gang member Miguel Angel Lopez-Abrego was stabbed a hundred times, decapitated and had his heart ripped out from his body.

The suspect was arrested in North Carolina on November 11, has been charged with murder in the first degree and ordered to be held without bond during his first court appearance.

Court documents reveal that up to ten members MS-13 intended to lure the victim to where he was murdered, Silver Spring park.

An informant has come forward with information that Lopez-Abrego, known as “Timido”, alerted other gang members of the victim’s arrival via walkie-talkie, and also helped dig the grave where the body was found.

A September 5 police affidavit shows that the informant “detailed the choking, stabbing, decapitating and dismembering the Victim’s body.”

Maryland police are asking anyone with information to contact the Montgomery County Police Department’s Major Crimes Division at (240) 773-5070.

The victim’s description has been provided as follows:

“Hispanic male standing approximately 5 feet, 2 inches high and weighing approximately 126 pounds. He had short, dark brown hair and a missing lower tooth that may have been noticeable when he was speaking or smiling.”

In September, police also released photos of the jersey and rosary that the victim was wearing, and the jersey had “First United Methodist Church Laurel, Maryland” written on the left side, on the chest.
