Larry Nassar pleads guilty to 1st degree criminal sexual conduct, faces up to 40 years in prison

It’s almost as if an explosion of sexual misconduct and crime has blotted the horizon, with the latest being the story of Dr. Larry Nassar, a professional in the field of sports medicine.

Although it seems a long time ago, just last month the Harvey Weinstein story shocked America with a depth of sexual debauchery rarely seen in recent times.

That subsequently gave way to several prominent men in media, government and entertainment being accused one after another, often of multiple counts of sexual impropriety, some committed decades ago.

The list is long: Roy Price, Kevin Spacey, Louis C.K., Roy Moore, Al Franken and many more.

But the most shocking of all should be the case of Dr. Larry Nassar, who is accused of more than 100 counts of molestation and assault against girls and women.

Larry Nassar is the former team doctor of USA Gymnastics and a former Michigan State University sports doctor.

He has pleaded guilty to seven counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct that could earn him between 25 and 40 years in prison.

Sentencing is set for January 12.
