Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman frontrunner for TIME Person of the Year

If shaking the figurative tree in any way possible will get you to the TIME Person of the Year list, then these top entrants are certainly the most varied bunch to ever make it to the top of the poll.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the #MeToo hashtag campaign and President Trump are all current frontrunners for the prestigious TIME Magazine Person of the Year award for 2017.

Each has shaken the proverbial tree in their own way.

Crown Prince bin Salman has broken 80 years of precedence and jailed several members of the royal family and the Saudi elite, including some of his powerful cousins, in an attempt to weed out corruption and bring the Kingdom into the real 21st century.

The #MeToo hashtag campaign for sexual harassment awareness has done much to help women come out and disclose their past and vent their frustrations.

As for President Trump, he’s probably caused more controversy than anyone else on the planet this year, and it’s not even Christmas!

This is possible the most diverse Top 3 contenders for the title, and Trump has apparently refused the accolade in advance even if he does get voted it.
