The 2017 Motor Trend Car of the Year has been awarded to the Alfa Romeo Giulia.
This sexy Italian stallion is a 2.0L, four-cylinder monster that delivers 280hp and sports twin turbo-chargers.
Motor Trend says the Giulia has “a racy engine response and dynamic handling without a rough ride.”
It’s a major validation of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ effort to slip the Alfa Romeo into the mainstream luxury market.
Also, the Ford F-150 has been named Truck of the Year for the golden calipers, and the SUV of the Year was bagged by Honda’s CR-V.
The Motor Trend awards are some of the most coveted in the world of automobiles.
