Free Google Home Mini and $100 bill credit for Google Fi starts Cyber Monday 2017

Google testing voice over LTE (VoLTE) with select users in Project Fi

Starting on Cyber Monday and running through November 30, Google Fi customers can avail of a $100 bill credit on the purchase of Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and 2 XL and Moto X4 Android One Edition through November 30.

A free Google Home Mini is also being offered with purchases of the latest Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL models.

The $100 is not redeemable for cash, and if you’re bill is under $100 you may have a rollover credit on the next bill. However, Google did not explicitly say this so it’s unclear at this point.

The credit can only be used on the next billing cycle, so it’s not a discount on the actual device.

  • The Moto X4 Android One Edition is the cheapest of the smartphones eligible for this offer exclusively for Google Fi customers, and retails at $399.

  • The Pixel XL is $669 (32GB) or $769 (128GB)

  • The Pixel 2 is $649 (64GB) or $749 (128GB)

  • The Pixel 2 XL is $849 (64GB) or $949 (128GB)

The deals are part of Project Fi’s efforts to garner interest.

The project uses Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular to offer highly flexible and transparent plans for Fi-ready phones. The service also switches instantly to one of over 1 million hotspots in a secure manner whenever one is available.

Google Fi plans offers a flat $10/GB across more than $135 countries, so you pay the same whether you’re at home or away.

The plans also offer credit back for unused data. For example, if you’re on a 3GB plan and you only use 2GB, you’ll have a $10 credit on your monthly bill. The basic cost for a single line is $20/month, and $15 per user to add people to the same shared plan.
