84-year-old doctor Anna Konopka has given up her medical license after the New Hampshire Board of Medicine challenged the way she works with her patients, how she handles their records and the way she administers medication.
Konopka doesn’t keep electronic records, and in one incident, court documents show that she left the dosage of the medication up to the patient’s parents and failed to treat her appropriately.
The doctor used to see about 25 patients a week, and even people without insurance were being treated by her.
Her only criterion seems to be that patients were able to pay her $50 consultation fee.
New Hampshire state laws prevent the disclosure of additional details, but court documents show that the medical board’s review subcommittee received other complaints against the octogenarian doctor after she surrendered her medical license.
