Trump hits NBC below the belt after Matt Lauer sexual misconduct incident

Any other President of the United States would have had a diplomatic yet meaningful comment on the exit of NBC News “Today” anchor Matt Lauer after an internal review found him in violation of the “company’s standards.”

But not President Trump.

Shortly after the incident was widely reported, Trump cast tweet-style aspersions on top executives at Comcast and NBC, specifically NBC Chairman Andrew Lack:

A couple of hours later, he tweeted again, this time targeting Phil Griffin and Joe Scarborough of MSNBC:

That’s a boatload of accusations in just two hours from the most influential man in the country.

Trump is clearly in the middle of his magic performance, misdirecting the audience (which is all of America, and then some) with baseless allegations while he continues his tragedy of comedies that he also refers to as the presidency.

Not one to take it lying down, Scarborough shot back with this:
