Any other President of the United States would have had a diplomatic yet meaningful comment on the exit of NBC News “Today” anchor Matt Lauer after an internal review found him in violation of the “company’s standards.”
But not President Trump.
Shortly after the incident was widely reported, Trump cast tweet-style aspersions on top executives at Comcast and NBC, specifically NBC Chairman Andrew Lack:
Wow, Matt Lauer was just fired from NBC for “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.” But when will the top executives at NBC & Comcast be fired for putting out so much Fake News. Check out Andy Lack’s past!

A couple of hours later, he tweeted again, this time targeting Phil Griffin and Joe Scarborough of MSNBC:
So now that Matt Lauer is gone when will the Fake News practitioners at NBC be terminating the contract of Phil Griffin? And will they terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the “unsolved mystery” that took place in Florida years ago? Investigate!

That’s a boatload of accusations in just two hours from the most influential man in the country.
Trump is clearly in the middle of his magic performance, misdirecting the audience (which is all of America, and then some) with baseless allegations while he continues his tragedy of comedies that he also refers to as the presidency.
Not one to take it lying down, Scarborough shot back with this:
Looks like I picked a good day to stop responding to Trump’s bizarre tweets. He is not well. https://t.co/XJhW5ZHNfs
