An 18-year-old California man has confessed to Riverside police that he has sexually molested more than 50 children over the past several years.
Joseph Hayden Boston reportedly assaulted two boys aged 4 and 8 at a motel, after which he called his mother and told her what he’d done. His mother later brought him to the police station.
In a subsequent interview, Boston told police that he had been molesting children since the age of 10, and that the figure was “upwards of 50 children” across different cities in Southern California where he’d lived.
A statement issued by Riverside police spokesman Officer Ryan Railsback shows that Boston has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of oral copulation on a child under the age of 10.
Boston has been jailed in lieu of a $1 million bail, and is scheduled for a court appearance this Wednesday.
The two victims from the motel incident were taken into custody by the County of Riverside Child Protective Services. Their parents were staying at the same motel, and had allowed the children to go to Boston’s room at night.
