Mueller has “tens of thousands” of Trump transition emails, “unlawful conduct” charge brought by transition team lawyer

“Tens of thousands” of emails of Jared Kushner and other members of Trump’s transition team covering a range of topics from potential appointments to war and foreign policy planning have been obtained by special counsel Robert Mueller.

Transition team lawyer Kory Langhofer says they were obtained unlawfully by Mueller from the General Services Administration (GSA), which hosted the email system with the ptt.gov (Presidential Transition Team) addresses.

The letter to congressional committees that contain the charge also says that the information was leaked to the press by unknown persons.

In all 12 email account histories have been obtained by Mueller’s team.

Trump’s side discovered it after content from the emails were allegedly used to question witnesses in Mueller’s ongoing investigation.

The Special Counsel’s office has declined to comment on the matter.
