Samsung is the number one smartphone maker in the world. In the first three months of the year, the South Korean firm shipped more than 330 million smartphone units, a slight drop compared to the same period in 2017. Samsung still grabbed more than 20 percent market share in the first quarter of the year despite a drop in phone shipments.
Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy S9 is one of the best phones you can get right now on the market. With the S9, Samsung retains the same design from the S8 and S8 Plus, but the South Korean firm upgraded the hardware, with a more powerful chipset and better camera setup.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 has been available on the market for a few months only. And, the South Korean firm still has a lot of work to do with the device. The firm officially released two new colors for the Galaxy S9, including Burgundy Red and Sunrise Gold. However, new color options will not be available in all markets.
According to Samsung, the Burgundy Red Galaxy S9 will hit stores in China and South Korea this month, while the Sunrise Gold version will arrive in more markets including Germany, Hong Kong, UAE, and even more. Samsung says that the new color options will be available in more countries in the coming months.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 is now out in four color options, including Titanium Gray, Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Midnight Black. Sources say that the S9 and S9 Plus will come in more color options in the future and hit more markets.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 is undoubtedly the best Android phone on the market. However, sources say that the S9’s sales performance fails to satisfy Samsung. The reason behind this lies in its same design as the S8. The Galaxy S9 only comes with slight changes in design. One such change lies in a re-positioned fingerprint scanner.
Samsung is expected to launch a new Note 9. The Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come with a ton of new changes like in-display scanner, making it the first Samsung-branded device to feature this new tech.
