Apple will sell 440 million iPhone units in both 2018 and 2019

Apple iPhone is one of the most wanted smartphones out there. Every year, Apple launched new iPhone models with a lot of changes and features. Hundreds of thousands of people line up in front of Apple retail stores and try to be among the first to grab the new device. Last year, the Cupertino company moved away from its tradition of launching two iPhone models. Instead, they debuted three models to celebrate the 10th birthday of iPhone.

Apple is doing pretty well in business. In the first quarter of the year, Apple was one of the leading smartphone brands on the market. The Cupertino posted a revenue of $61.1 billion, with more than 50 million iPhone units shipped. Apple gained a better result than experts’ expectations. Earlier this year, Apple was predicted to earn 60 billion in Q1/2018. The reason behind Apple’s success was its steady growth in iPhone shipments.

According to tech experts, the Cupertino company will sell 440 million iPhone units in total across 2018 and 2019. In reality, Apple is facing a slight drop in iPhone sales, but it seems that the company is taking back its power on the market. Apple’s main rival, Samsung is now the number one smartphone maker in the world. The South Korean firm grabbed the number one position in the first three months of the year.

Tech experts say that Apple will sell more than 220 iPhone units in both 2018 and 2019. However, the number is expected to hit over 400 million by the end of 2019. Source say that Apple will be struggling to sell its iPhone models in the coming months due to a higher price tag. Apple iPhone X failed to live up to expectations, due to its staggering $999 price tag.

This year, Apple is expected to launch three new iPhone models, including a 6.5-inch model that replaces the current iPhone X. However, the upcoming device will be $100 cheaper than the iPhone X at launch.

The new iPhones are expected to boost Apple’s smartphone sales performance this year. This means that Apple will launch discounts for the current iPhone models.
