Instagram adds new features that help users reduce tech addiction

Instagram is the number one photo-sharing platform out there. Facebook-owned service now has more than 700 million users worldwide and will hit one billion users soon. Facebook has regularly been adding new features to its photo-sharing service to take on other services out there.

Instagram has recently been testing some new features. One such feature lies in Favorites, a nice feature that allows users to share their stories and posts with friends they have chosen. This is a great addition to Instagram as it helps protect your individual posts from the prying eyes. To do this, you simply need to hit the Favorites icon on your profile and select all the friends you choose to see your posts.

Instagram is now rolling out new features that help users reduce technology addiction. In other words, you will be able to manage what you see and how much time you spend on Instagram. Tech experts say that the company is testing a handy feature called “You’re All Caught Up”. The feature allows you to know when you have seen posts shared by your friends and family you follow.

Instagram confirms that the company has been working on a new feature that lets users mute people in their news feed. However, it remains unknown when the company will launch the feature to the public. Tech experts say that the feature will hit Instagram users worldwide in June.

In reality, muting people is not something out there as it has been a part of Instagram Stories. To mute an Instagram Story, you simply need to tap and hold the profile picture of the person whose stories you wish to hide and then hit the Mute button to complete the task.

Instagram Stories feature is among the highlights of Instagram. The feature allows users to share their moments of the day. The Stories feature quickly gained its popularity among users worldwide and had 300 million users. The Stories was once the best feature of Snapchat, but Snapchat’s feature only has 200 million users worldwide.

Facebook is still rolling out new updates to users worldwide. Rumors say that there will be more features coming out this year.
