2019 iPhone to come with triple camera setup, say rumors

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference is among the biggest tech events in the industry. The event hosts presentations of new hardware products and software updates. At last year’s event, the company announced iOS 11, a new version of iOS operating system. iOS 11 brings in a lot of new features and changes, ranging from iPad multitasking to document scanning in Notes.

At this year’s event, Apple is rumored to show off new things, including Apple Watch, cheaper HomePod, and new MacBooks. Sources say that Apple may unveil a new iPhone with new camera setup at the event this year. However, it seems that Apple’s 2018 iPhone models will make their debut at Apple’s annual event in September.

While 2018 iPhone models will not be ready until September, we have started to hear a lot of rumors hinting at 2019 devices. Rumors say that at least one 2019 iPhone will come with a triple camera setup. This adds up to previous rumors saying that 2019 iPhone will have three rear cameras.

Apple is currently offering iPhone models with a dual-camera setup. Two cameras have been much improved on the iPhone X to offer a better picture quality and more details. According to tech watchers, the adoption of triple camera setup would allow Apple to add 3D sensing to its iPhone models in 2019.

A triple camera allows for better zoom capabilities. Sources say that 2019 iPhone might feature 3x optical zoom, without losing the image quality. Besides, a triple camera setup would help enhance AR functionality on iPhone models.

Last year, Apple first debuted AR technology on its iPhone X, allowing users to map their expressions with an animated animoji character.

In terms of design, the 2019 iPhone is likely to retain the same design language on the current model. This means that we will have a curved display and a top notch.

At this year’s annual September event, Apple is expected to announce three new iPhone models, including a 6.5-inch device that replaces the current iPhone X. Besides, Apple may unveil the second generation iPhone SE at this year’s WWDC event.
