96-year-old Mechanic Says Model 3 is His Favorite Car of All Time

96-year-old Walt Mordenti is a mechanic, and probably the oldest owner ever of a Tesla Model 3. And he says it’s his favorite car of all time.

Mordenti, born in 1921, started tinkering with cars early on to help support his family. He’s driven just about every make and model of American car, says his son. This is the man voting for the Model 3 as his all-time favorite. That’s not a bad accolade for Musk and his team of Musk-eteers at Tesla Motors!

Interestingly, another one of his favorites is the Hudson Hornet, made famous by the Cars franchise. In fact, Mordenti is often referred to as Doc Hudson, making his name from the 1940s to the 1980s as an owner/driver/mechanic. In 1957, he won first place at Thompson Speedway, CT.
