If you’re a jailbreak enthusiast, you are sure to have heard about vShare. Did you know, however, that vShare no longer requires Cydia to work? In fact, you don’t even have to jailbreak your iOS device to use vShare and download tons of great apps that you won’t get on the App Store.
Let’s begin by talking about the amazing app experience you’ll be getting with vShare.
What Apps Can I Get on iOS with vShare?
If you’re familiar with Cydia, you already know about super-capable social, music, games and other tweaked apps like Spotify++, Pokemon Go++, Instagram++ and many more. What the ++ signifies is that these apps are customized to have more features than their generic equivalents. For example, with Snapchat++, you can customize your launch view, spoof your location and go much further than you can with regular Snapchat. The same goes for all the other tweaked apps that you can download when you install vShare on your iOS device.
Just like jailbreak programs allow you to customize your iPhone/iPad and get non-App-Store apps installed on your device, vShare lets you do it without having to jailbreak your phone and possibly void your warranty. This application uses the “sideloading” method, which is a jailbreak-free technique that’s been around for a while now.
With vShare installed, you get access to a whole range of games, themes, ringtones, comics, iBooks and other apps that you won’t find on the official App Store. vShare opens the floodgates to thousands of tweaked apps in one place. Of course, you can individually sideload most of these apps, but you still need an installer like Cydia Impactor or vShare. So why run helter-skelter trying to find modified apps when vShare puts it all right in front of you, literally in your Home screen? There are also other popular games like GTA San Andreas, Fortnite, Critical Ops and Minecraft PE. You’ll also find a ton of App Store apps that you can download directly in vShare.
By the way, did we mention that all the apps and games on our store are absolutely FREE to download? There are also paid and free versions if you want more premium apps and features.
What is vShare? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s… more than that!
vShare is a third-party app store and an iOS/Android app installer rolled into one. In the past, vShare depended on Cydia and acted as merely an external repository for tweaked apps. Today, vShare is a fully independent application that only requires a strong internet connection.
Aside from being able to download it directly to your iPhone, iPad or Android mobile device, you can also use the Windows or Mac helper app to get vShare installed on your mobile device.
vShare has you fully covered with step-by-step tutorials that show you how to install the app or use the helper apps for desktop computers. It also shows you how to fix common errors during or after vShare installation. The next section shows you the direct download method for iOS devices. The app is compatible with iOS 8 through iOS 12, and will be updated to include new versions of Apple’s operating system as they are released.
How to Install vShare on iPhone
Step 1: Open the Safari browser on your iDevice and go to this page to get vShare.
Step 2: Click on the appropriate Config Profile Link and tap on Install on the top right corner of your screen. Confirm by tapping the Install button at the bottom.
Step 3: When you see the Settings page on your device, tap on Install Profile and enter your device’s passcode.
Step 4: When Safari opens up again, tap on Install and again confirm.
Step 5: Tap on Next > Done in the Settings page and you’re done!
You should be able to see the vShare icon on your home screen. If you don’t, repeat the above steps until you see it. Tap on the icon and start using vShare right away.
Note: If you see a white screen with no apps after installing vShare, just go to Settings and Clear Website Data. It should work fine after that. More troubleshooting tips can be found here.
Why Use vShare Instead of a Jailbreak Program?
Jailbreaking is a dying art. New, working and stable jailbreaks are few and far between, and their use on new iOS versions is getting more restricted by the day. Ever since Apple started its Bug Bounty Program, developers who previously released public jailbreaks on a regular basis have started reporting these vulnerabilities to Apple directly. That means the jailbreaking public gets left out in the cold. If you’re aware of the jailbreak landscape today, you’ll agree. Most of the big names have all but disappeared, and the jailbreaking scene is nothing like it was a few years ago.
That being said, there are also several risks when jailbreaking your iPhone – a voided warranty being the least of your worries. If your phone gets bricked or the jailbreak doesn’t work for any reason, the only way to roll back to an unsigned iOS version is if you saved the SHSH blobs for that version while it was still being signed by Apple. The worst part is that the company is closing the window on unsigned versions at a faster rate than ever, presumably to discourage roll-backs to older iOS versions.
vShare offers a much better alternative to jailbreaking your expensive iPhone. If it doesn’t work or you don’t like the apps it has, you can simply try sideloading a different third-party app store. The point is that jailbreaking is quickly becoming obsolete, having been replaced by the sideloading method for quite some time now. If all you need are external apps and ways to tweak your device’s settings, then apps like vShare are the way to go.
