Nintendo Switch Available in Limited Numbers for Amazon Prime Members Only

Amazon is listing Nintendo Switch as available - for Amazon Prime members only

Amazon Prime members have all the fun, and this time it’s the newly launched Nintendo Switch that’s being made available exclusively to Prime members. Though available in limited numbers, Amazon seems to be the only place that has Nintendo Switch inventory. But you’ll have to move quickly if you want one.

Nintendo Switch is currently shaping up to be the hottest selling gaming console from Nintendo, ever. The demand is still so strong the physical retailers were out of stock in just a few days. Fortunately, Amazon has several hundred units of both the gray and the neon blue and red joy-con versions. You may need to sign up to Amazon Prime to be eligible, but you can take the free trial offer.

A Word of Caution

It has been brought to our attention that there are unscrupulous third-party sellers on Amazon offering fake products for half the price of the original Nintendo Switch, which retails at around $300. Beware of such sellers. Understand that you are protected by Amazon’s A-to-Z Guarantee on all purchases, but do exercise caution. Look for availability at the right price, and from a seller with a 4-star or higher rating.

Again, there’s limited inventory, and it may have sold out already, so don’t wait around for a better deal. You’re not likely to find these anywhere soon. Nintendo has promised to re-stock retailers, but we don’t have a firm date on new consignments.

For Amazon, it’s a great way to utilize the exclusive nature of the deal and attract new users to the Amazon Prime subscription. Considering the fact that Nintendo Switch is sold out everywhere else, and even GameStop says it’s going to have supply problems for the rest of the year, Amazon Prime seems to be the only silver lining as far as Nintendo Switch availability is concerned.
