Charlie Rose accused of sexual misconduct, PBS halts distribution and CBS suspends Rose

The Washington Post has once again broken news of sexual allegations against a public media figure. This time it’s 75-year-old Charlie Rose being accused by no less than eight women alleging various acts by Rose.

All of the women have either worked for Rose or tried to work for him, and variously say that he groped them or walked naked in front of them, with one woman saying he told her that he dreamed of her swimming in the nude.

The statement by PBS: “PBS was shocked to learn today of these deeply disturbing allegations. We are immediately suspending distribution of ‘Charlie Rose.’”

CBS News suspended Charlie Rose shortly after the Post piece that broke on Monday.

The veteran newsman said he was “deeply embarrassed” and that he was sorry for his behavior.
