2018 iPhone models to come with much-improved Face ID

Apple iPhone is among the most anticipated phones this year. Apple releases new iPhone models every year, with changes and new features. Last year, the company launched three iPhone models to celebrate the 10th anniversary of iPhone, including iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X.

With iPhone X, Apple had some daring changes, like the removal of physical buttons, Face ID, and a curved OLED display. iPhone X was the best-selling phone in the first three months of the year, with 16 million units shipped.

One of the highlights of iPhone X lies in Face ID, a new security measure that allows you to unlock your phone with a simple glance. However, Face ID has its own issues that may ruin your experience. A lot of iPhone X owners have reported that Face ID fails to work on their phone, thus preventing them from unlocking their device.

Apple has acknowledged the issue and they have been working on the second generation Face ID for future iPhone models. Sources say that all 2018 iPhone models will feature a much-improved Face ID algorithm, allowing for faster unlock. With new gen Face ID, this year’s iPhone will offer a much faster unlocking process and a higher level of security.

If this is the case, all 2018 iPhone models will feature upgraded hardware for smarter Face ID. Apple’s Face ID received a wide welcome from users and tech experts worldwide at launch, but Face ID is still falling behind other likes from Samsung and Sony. Reports claim that Apple’s Face ID delivers slower unlock speed, so Apple does not want to get left behind on the market.

Rumors regarding this year’s iPhone models have been circulating for months. Most rumors say that Apple will debut three new models in September including a 6.5 inch iPhone X Plus. Besides, the iPhone X Plus is believed to support dual SIM card at launch. Besides, the 6.1 inch iPhone model will belong to the mid-range segment, with lack of premium features.

Sources say that the 6.1 inch iPhone model will retain the LCD display panel, but it will feature wireless charging and dual-camera setup at launch.
