Why get trampled by doorbuster crowds on Cyber Monday? If Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday are anything to go by, it would seem that more consumers than ever before prefer shopping online.
Earlier this week we showcased some great shopping apps for iOS and Android for Black Friday shopping – online as well as in store. We also published an article for Windows 10 and Windows Phone shopping apps.
Today, we’re going to prepare you for Cyber Monday November 28, 2016.
Some of the best deals are carried over the Thanksgiving weekend into Cyber Monday, which has become one of the most popular deal days online.
Cyber Monday – What Is It?
For those of you who don’t know about its origins, Cyber Monday is the marketing world’s way of getting more people to shop online. The term was first used on November 21, 2005 in a press release by Shop.org titled Cyber Monday Quickly Becoming One of the Biggest Online Shopping Days of the Year. The term caught on, and Cyber Monday was born.
With the emergence of Amazon Prime that same year, Cyber Monday’s position in the annals of e-commerce history was cemented. Since then, Cyber Monday has grown in stature, and now represents an entire week of deals rather than just being a one-day phenomenon. Online retailers like Amazon push out some great deals on Cyber Monday, and they typically keep adding new deals through the week.
Now, on to those apps and browser extensions you’ve been waiting for!
Cyber Monday 2016 Deals with Cybermonday Shopping (BuyVia LLC.)
This is a great iOS app that supports any device running iOS 7 or higher. BuyVia keeps updating their deals for each major shopping holiday by aggregating deals from all over the web. You can also get alerts on special items and deals based on your specific needs.
Insane Cyber Monday Deals (RTD)
This is a great Android app for finding the best Cyber Monday deals online. Frequently updated, it will compare prices for the same item on various sites and lead you to the best price possible. Works on all devices running Android 2.3 and higher, so it’s great for shoppers who have older Android versions on their smartphones.
PriceBlink – Browser Extension for Chrome, Safari and FireFox
PriceBlink helps you find the best price on items on your shopping list. If you want a set of bar accessories, for example, PriceBlink will search on thousands of merchant sites to find you the best possible price. This is a great extension for those who know what they want but don’t know where to find those items at the lowest prices. It will even show you if there are coupons, discount codes and free shipping available for your list items.
There are several other great shopping apps, price comparison extensions and deals/coupons apps, but these three should be enough to find the absolute best deals for Cyber Monday and right through the holiday season.
