Shortly after the Friday terror attack on a Sufi mosque in the North Sinai region of Egypt, President Trump tweeted his outrage against the atrocity.
Horrible and cowardly terrorist attack on innocent and defenseless worshipers in Egypt. The world cannot tolerate terrorism, we must defeat them militarily and discredit the extremist ideology that forms the basis of their existence!

And then almost as an afterthought about three hours later, Trump tried to push his own agenda for the travel ban and border wall.
Will be calling the President of Egypt in a short while to discuss the tragic terrorist attack, with so much loss of life. We have to get TOUGHER AND SMARTER than ever before, and we will. Need the WALL, need the BAN! God bless the people of Egypt.

The White House has also issued a statement condemning the act.

If we try hard enough, we can possibly get our heads around why President Trump would push his travel ban agenda at this time. He’s clearly using a weak moment to drive home his point.
But why talk about the border wall at a time like this? Only President Trump can answer that question.
