Two new accusers say Roy Moore made unwanted overtures at Alabama mall

The Story:

Two new accusers have now said that Alabama GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore made unwanted overtures at them at an Alabama mall in the 1970s.

This Happened:

Gena Richardson says Moore approached her when she was working at a Sear’s at the Gadsden Mall. It was around her 18th birthday.

By then, Moore was already gaining a notorious reputation for pursuing young women at the mall.

One store manager even warned: “watch out for this guy.” Richardson eventually started hiding from him whenever he came to the Sear’s store. Another young woman complained to her supervisor.

Moore allegedly called Richardson later, on the phone, when she was in school, and asked her out. She relented. At the end of that meeting, he allegedly took her to a dark parking lot behind Sear’s, and Richardson says he gave her an unwanted and “forceful” kiss that scared her.

“I never wanted to see him again,” says Gena Richardson.

Moore’s campaign has not address the new allegations directly. However, they made a statement to the effect that the accusations are all politically motivated:

“If you are a liberal and hate Judge Moore, apparently he groped you. If you are a conservative and love Judge Moore, you know these allegations are a political farce.”
