Apple Watch Series 4 to come with edge-to-edge display

Apple Watch is a great smartwatch you can buy right now on the market. Apple’s wearable device now dominates the market with more than 60 percent market share. According to the latest reports, Apple Watch 3 with LTE connectivity is the most popular smartwatch out there. In Q1/2018, Apple shipped more than 4 million smartwatch units.

Tech experts claim that Apple will continue to dominate the smartwatch market in the third quarter of the year when the company announces the 4th gen Apple Watch. Sources say that Apple will announce the next generation Apple Watch at its September event this year. This goes against what we heard in previous rumors that new Apple Watch will make its debut in March 2019.

In reality, Apple’s September event belongs to new iPhone models. However, things will change this year. We have heard a lot of rumors regarding the next-generation Apple Watch. Specifically, the upcoming wearable will retain the same design from the current Apple Watch models while featuring a new display technology.

Sources say that the Apple Watch Series 4 will come with an edge-to-edge display. This goes in line with previous reports claiming that Apple has been working on a new display for its watch series. Besides, the watch will stick to the OLED panel, and LG Display will be Apple’s sole supplier of the flexible display panels for Apple Watch.

In reality, Apple Watch is the first Apple product to feature an OLED display on the market. Last year, Apple first used the OLED panel for its iPhone X model. Sources say that all 2019 iPhone models will feature OLED display.

According to rumors, two iPhone models will come with OLED displays, while the cheaper iPhone model will have an LCD display. This makes sense seeing that the device will belong to the mid-range segment. All Apple Watch models will include support for LTE connectivity this year. This will help Apple boost its sales performance during this year’s shopping holiday season.

Apart from the new iPhone models and Apple Watch, Apple is believed to debut a new iPad Pro. Back in March, Apple announced its new 9.7 inch iPad at its education event. The new tablet will replace the Air 2 on the market. And Apple needs something new to boost its tablet sales on the market.

Apple iPad is showing signs of a slowdown in sales performance. Android-based tablets are getting more popular on the market thanks to their lower price tag and innovative features. Sources say that the upcoming iPad Pro will come with smaller bezels and a bigger screen. Besides, the device will feature Face ID at launch, which marks the removal of the traditional Touch ID.

According to the latest sources, the iPad Pro will feature new gestures, just like the iPhone X. Some reports claim that there will be a new iPad mini at the September event. In reality, the iPad mini lineup has not seen an internal upgrade since 2015, so we can expect to see something new from Apple this year.
